Aberdeen v Motherwell
Aberdeen are struggling, especially away from home and need something to happen, as their European run has kept them together.
They need to get the defence changed for a turnaround in results, but they are still capable at Pittodrie. But it will be a tough game.
It was a disappointing result for Motherwell to lose at home to Hearts at the weekend, although the state of the Fir Park pitch is a concern, which is affecting their normal passing game.

До лета с Русенборгом на временной основе продолжит работать Хенриксен, осенью сменивший у руля команды Терума. Тому в свою очередь не простили восьмое место в чемпионате, хотя в ЛЧ Русенборг оставил за спиной Валенсию и едва не выбил из турнира Шальке. Статистика легкой жизни хозяевам не обещает. Вердер – Брага
Более чем скромная Брага уже второй раз подряд проходит групповой турнир Кубка УЕФА, причем делает это под руководством разных тренеров. По всем оценочным критериям у Браги в этой паре нет шансов, если не учитывать несколько «но»: нестабильность Вердера известна всем; как всегда, у Шаафа немало травмированных. И самое главное - за три дня до встречи с португальцами бременцы провели не выразительный поединок против Баварии. Может экономили силы на матч с Брагой, посмотрим.
Прогноз: победа Вердера.

Финальный матч кубка Первого канала в этом году подарит болельщикам чисто украинское противостояние. Оставив за пределами финального поединка обоих российских грандов динамо и шахтёр доказали, что на данный момент в несколько раз сильнее своих соседей. По игре превосходство украинских команд сомнений не вызывает, и спартак и СЦКА были разбиты практически без шансов. Причину провальной игры московских команд оъяснить можно, для спартака этот турнир был подготовительным в предверии стартовых матчей 1/16 кубка УЕФА, и тут приоритеты были отданы конечно еврокубовым играм, поэтому вполне логично, что спартак часто задействовал игроков, которым нужно доказывать свою состоятельность на попадание в стартовый состав.

Arsenal v Newcastle
I can only see a repeat of when the teams played in the FA Cup on Saturday with Arsenal winning. They showed they have got over their 5-1 Carling Cup loss to Tottenham and seem back to normal.
The results against Bolton and the Gunners show how far Newcastle need to go. They have not got enough quality players and, although they will not be relegated, they have a lot of work to do.
Prediction: 2-0

Arsenal v Newcastle
If Kevin Keegan wasn't quite sure of the scale of the job he's taken on at Newcastle it will have become clear to him in the 0-0 draw at home to Bolton last week.
To make matters worse, he still has a lot of players missing and, of course, after the Carling Cup exit in the week Arsenal will be looking to bounce back immediately so I think they will take his one comfortably.
