Prediction: 2-0
Match preview
Bolton v Stoke
The thing about Bolton is that under Owen Coyle they can play the physical stuff and also play the game on the deck.
They've got some good footballing players which includes Kevin Davies, who can also be used as a battering ram they can hoist the ball to, if needed.
Stoke have come good recently, but I fancy Bolton to edge it.
Prediction: 2-1
Match preview
Fulham v Tottenham
It's Champions League week for Spurs who go to Milan for their clash with Inter on Wednesday.
It will be interesting to see what the make-up of manager Harry Redknapp's side will be as a result of their forthcoming trip. It's a nice headache to have though.
Fulham have been tough to beat under Mark Hughes, so I reckon a draw is the likely outcome here.
Prediction: 1-1
Match preview
Man Utd v West Brom
United have had a few draws haven't they?
At home though, they always create a hatful of chances. Will defender Rio Ferdinand play? I think he's a great defender and very important for them.
West Brom are running Blackpool close for the award for the team that play great football. I don't think they'll get a result at Old Trafford though.
Prediction: 2-0
Match preview
Newcastle v Wigan
Well, these two teams are fairly similar to each other - you're not sure what you're going to get from one week to the next.
Newcastle will be without midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa for a while now - he provided them with something a little bit different. And striker Andy Carroll blows hot and cold - as most youngsters do.
Wigan have the capacity to collapse or be really good.
Prediction: 2-1
Match preview
Wolverhampton v West Ham
Wolves have had four defeats on the spin, but to be fair to them they've played OK in most of those matches.
Mick McCarthy's men have been in the spotlight recently about the physical nature of their play, but I don't buy the suggestion that any manager would send his players out to put in rash challenges.
The game has become faster, so sometimes tackles are mistimed.
West Ham have improved but I don't think they will get a result at Molineux.
I hate to say this is a must-win match for both teams so early on in the season, but it is.
Prediction: 2-0
Match preview
Aston Villa v Chelsea (1730 BST)
Villa under Gerard Houllier? It was interesting to see Ashley Young play off Emile Heskey the other week, until the latter came off injured against Tottenham.
As we all know, Chelsea are very strong and I fancy them to get a win from Villa Park.
Prediction: 1-2
Match preview
SUNDAY
Everton v Liverpool (1330 BST)
Both teams have had poor starts.
I've looked at both first-choice XIs and have to say I'd pick more from Everton than Liverpool.
There are a lot of average players in the Liverpool team. Will the off-the-field activities affect the players? I don't think so. Most are more concerned about when their wages go into the bank.
Prediction: 1-1
Match preview
Blackpool v Man City (1600 BST)
This is hard to say coming from a Prestonian, but Blackpool have been fantastic, really fantastic.
They're still to win at home, but if they win every other game then Ian Holloway's side be fine.
It's City they're facing though on Sunday, and Roberto Mancini has a lot of big, physical players and can chop and change his team when it suits.
But the way Blackpool have been playing I reckon they'll get a point.
Prediction: 1-1
Match preview
MONDAY
Blackburn v Sunderland (2000 BST)
Sunderland manager Steve Bruce and Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce are good friends and I'm sure this will be a keenly-fought battle.
Sunderland are tough to beat at home, but they've only won one of their league matches this season on their turf.
I have a sneaky feeling Rovers will get a win at Ewood Park.
Prediction: 2-1
