Bearing in mind the Latics' draw and clean sheet against Birmingham last week - which came on the back of a home win over Preston in the Carling Cup - I just fancy the hosts in this one.
Prediction: 2-1
Birmingham v Everton
I think I'm right in saying this weekend marks a year since Birmingham were last beaten at home in the league, which is a tremendous achievement.
So they'll lose this one.
It's just the way football is. Everton, rock bottom of the league, will go there and win. It's just one of those ironies in football.
I've seen Everton a few times this season and they have actually played well at times and dominated in matches without getting the right result. That will change this weekend.
Prediction: 0-2
Stoke v Blackburn
Oh deary me, this is a fascinating prospect isn't it? I hope they have got plenty of balls at the Britannia because I can see a few getting battered into submission in this one. The two ends of the pitch will need re-turfing at full-time, too, but I imagine the centre circle will remain pristine.
Joking aside, they are two very strong teams, excellent in the air - especially at set-pieces - and have refined a certain style of playing and getting results.
It will be a hard-fought encounter, for sure, and I just see it ending all square. A bit of a 'nothing' result, really but one that will obviously suit Blackburn more.

Sunderland v Man Utd
It was a strange game last week for Sunderland. It seems every time they play Liverpool there is an unusual incident - and so it was again. For the record, Dirk Kuyt's strike should never have been allowed and you have to say the referee was entirely at fault for that.
Now the Black Cats host a Manchester United side that has a terrific record against them. Just as they have started to pick up one or two points away from home, I just see Steve Bruce's side slipping up a touch at the Stadium of Light.
Yes, Sir Alex Ferguson has a few injuries to deal with but he has good strength in his United squad and, on the back of a good win in Valencia, I don't expect them to have any sort of Champions League hangover whatsoever.
Prediction: 1-2
Tottenham v Aston Villa
Tottenham were really good against FC Twente on Wednesday. You have to applaud Harry Redknapp and his side in the Champions League so far - they have basically stuck to their guns and gone for it.
None of this playing-for-a-draw stuff, they've gone out to Werder Bremen and then again against Twente to play football and win the games. Occasionally that approach might see teams come unstuck but at this stage it doesn't matter because I think Spurs are going to win enough games to qualify.
As for Villa, they are also on the back of a win - but it's a little different given they were hanging on at the end against Wolves last week. Had Wolves had a bit more about them up front, they could have got a draw at least.
It will take time for Gerard Houllier's philosophy and his tactics to bed in at Villa. With that in mind, I see Spurs getting the win.

West Brom v Bolton
West Brom's win at Arsenal last week was undoubtedly the result of the weekend and it looks as if - finally - they have a group of players and a style of play that is going to give them a great chance of avoiding relegation from the Premier League.
That said, Bolton are better. They have still got that traditional strength and physicality but they also have now that added 'cuteness' under Owen Coyle that has enabled them to show the odd bit of flair.
It's a tough one to call, so I'll go for a draw.

West Ham v Fulham
West Ham have just enjoyed three really good results - against Stoke, Sunderland and Tottenham - and they look a different side to the one that started the season. Maybe that point at Stoke will prove their catalyst because they look decent now.
Fulham, meanwhile, still look a solid proposition away from home but the goals and guile up front is still missing. It's all well and good being hard to break down - and you don't want to lose that - but sooner or later Mark Hughes will have to add something up front, probably through purchases rather than a change in tactics.

SUNDAY
Man City v Newcastle (1330 BST)
I'm going for Manchester City in this one, simply because of their power and strength in depth. I know they are playing in the Europa League and have a few injuries but they have options all over the park. I don't expect that to trouble them too much.
Newcastle just looked a little bit toothless against Stoke last week - they played OK, but without a real threat up front - and they won't be able to afford that at Eastlands on Sunday.
Prediction: 2-0
Liverpool v Blackpool
All is not well at Liverpool as everybody knows but it's about the players and the fact the manager is still settling in as far as their on-pitch concerns go right now. Still, Blackpool give you a lot of chances whether you're home or away so this looks like a home win to me.
Don't get me wrong, Blackpool have been very good this season. What I like about the way Ian Holloway and his team are going about things is that they are going out to win games. It's no good in the Premier League setting your stall out simply to shut the opposition down. You have to express yourselves because a win is so valuable - and that's what they are doing.
This one, though, especially with Fernando Torres looking better each week for Liverpool, is a big ask for the Tangerines.

Chelsea v Arsenal (1600 BST)
I was at Chelsea on Tuesday when they beat Marseille in the Champions League and the win was typical of their success this season. The game was pretty much done and dusted inside 25 minutes. That's how they've gone about things and it's been impressive.
Still, this is their run of tough games now, kick-started by a defeat to a Manchester City team that outfought them on the day last weekend. That was surprising.
This will be different. Arsenal were bullied by Chelsea home and away last year - both in a footballing sense and a physical sense - and I don't see that changing this time around, particularly with the defensive players Arsene Wenger is missing at present.
Prediction: 2-0
