Juventus - Cagliari  1-1
Juventus need to get back on track after midweek defeat, but Cagliari have a habit of tripping them up at this venue.

In February 2008 the Isolani, coached by Davide Ballardini and bottom of the league at the time, escaped from Turin with a 1-1 draw. Paolo Bianco headed the visitors ahead before Pavel Nedved levelled.

Just under a year later Massimiliano Allegri masterminded a huge shock with a 3-2 win for the Rossoblu at the Olimpico. Davide Biondini gave them the lead, Mohammed Sissoko and Nedved replied, then Jeda and Alessandro Matri sealed a famous triumph for the Sardinians. Last season Juve bucked the trend, but it was tight, Giorgio Chiellini’s header granting them a 1-0 win.

Juve’s 3-1 loss at home to Palermo on Thursday was disastrous. Remarkably it was the third win at the Olimpico in three seasons for the Sicilians, who have now won five of their last seven League encounters with the Bianconeri. Juve have lost two of their first four League fixtures, leaving them languishing in 16th place.

They must start grinding out results to stay in the race for the Scudetto, if that is indeed their objective. There have been mixed messages emanating from the Bianconeri camp in the opening weeks of the campaign.

Sporting director Beppe Marotta stated that ‘we don’t have champions’ whereas boss Gigi Del Neri has insisted ‘Juventus have no limits’. Whether or not the Old Lady’s squad is Scudetto class, they certainly know how to put on a show – there have been 21 goals in their last five games.

Cagliari’s new Coach Pierpaolo Bisoli has brought with him the defensive stability that characterised his stay with Cesena. His side have kept a clean sheet in three of their four matches they’ve played this term, the problem being that those games all ended 0-0.

Evidently the young tactician needs his strikers to replicate his defenders heroics, even if the 5-1 win over Roma showed they’re not lacking in firepower.

Juve’s Gigi Buffon, Jorge Martinez, Armand Traore and Paolo De Ceglie are injured. Cagliari’s Daniele Conti is still feeling the effects of Nicolas Burdisso’s bone crunching challenge in Week 2.

Keep an eye on: Claudio Marchisio (Juventus) – Questions were asked of the young midfield dynamo after his poor performances at the World Cup, but he’s answered those questions with commendable displays and spectacular goals against both Sampdoria and Udinese. Seemingly relishing a more attacking role, Juve should sort out his contract situation pronto.

Last five in Serie A: Juventus (- L D W L) Cagliari (- D W D D)

Last season: Juventus 1-0 Cagliari

Top tip: Desperate to atone for the loss to Palermo, Juve will take the initiative, but with nine goals conceded in three home games they can’t be trusted to keep the back door shut.

Stat fact: Cagliari’s Andrea Cossu and Juve’s Milos Krasic have three assists each so far, making them Serie A‘s top providers.
-------------------------------------------------------

Juventus (probable): Storari; Motta, Bonucci, Chiellini, Grygera; Krasic, Marchisio, Sissoko, Pepe; Iaquinta, Quagliarella

Cagliari (probable): Agazzi; Pisano, Canini, Astori, Agostini; Biondini, Nainggollan, Pinardi; Cossu; Acquafresca, Matri

Прогноз от Kappara.ru : фора 2 (+1.5) 1.35 , Ювентус снова пропустит ?

Sampdoria - Udinese 1-2
Both  sides are in dire need of a confidence-booster, as Sampdoria welcome back Antonio Cassano and Udinese aim for their first point of the season.

The Blucerchiati have managed just one point from their last two games and perhaps the strain of European competition is taking its toll. Coach Mimmo Di Carlo certainly thought so when resting Cassano for the midweek goalless draw at Cagliari.

Naturally, the media assumed another ‘Cassanata’ was at the centre of this decision and wrote of an alleged blazing row between FantAntonio and captain Angelo Palombo. The club refuted these claims and insisted there are no locker room problems.

Cassano returns to the side to partner Giampaolo Pazzini and Stefano Guberti, though Paolo Sammarco, Andrea Poli and Fernando Tissone remain on the treatment table. Daniele Mannini and Vladimir Koman are hoping for a start, but face challenges from Franco Semioli and Daniele Dessena.

This is a disastrous campaign for Udinese, who are the only club yet to get off the mark after four rounds. The performances haven’t always been that bad, but the finishing certainly left a lot to be desired.

They were hammered 4-0 by Juventus, then out-played Bologna for long periods, but the wasted chances piled up and Marco Di Vaio struck in stoppages. Patron Giampaolo Pozzo has reiterated his absolute faith in Francesco Guidolin, but a fifth consecutive defeat would undoubtedly shake even those foundations.

The Friulani could again adopt a 4-3-1-2 system with Almen Abdi supporting Antonio Di Natale and Antonio Floro Flores. However, Alexis Sanchez is on great form and it would be a real wrench to leave ‘El Niño Maravilla’ on the bench.

German Denis and Damiano Ferronetti remain the only injured players, as Dusan Basta should be back in the squad, even if not necessarily the starting XI. Mehdi Benatia is also ready despite picking up a knock against Bologna.

Keep an eye on: Antonio Cassano (Sampdoria) – He has a lot to prove, including silencing the media reports on his temper getting the better of him to create problems within the squad. All eyes will again be on Cassano to get Samp out of their rut.

Last five in Serie A: Sampdoria (- W D L D) Udinese (- L L L L)

Last season: Sampdoria 3-1 Udinese

Top tip: Before the surprise 2-1 loss to Napoli in Week 3, Sampdoria were unbeaten at Marassi in 18 months and had won their last five on the trot. Nobody had even taken a point here since Cagliari in March. That form will return asgainst Udinese.

Stat fact: Sampdoria have lost at home to Udinese only four times out of 30. This fixture tends to be spectacular, as in the last six editions there have been 21 goals. Only seven of them were scored by the visitors.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sampdoria (probable): Curci; Zauri, Gastaldello, Lucchini, Ziegler; Semioli, Palombo, Dessena; Guberti; Pazzini, Cassano

Udinese (probable): Handanovic; Benatia, Zapata, Angella; Pinzi, Inler, Asamoah, Badu; Abdi; Di Natale, Floro Flores

Прогноз от Kappara.ru : Удинезе может и не выиграет , но забьет . Благо есть кому .

Palermo - Lecce 2-2

Stadio Barbera

Identical League records but not for long, Palermo and Lecce meet hovering above a relegation zone one of them is expected to pull away from.

Palermo go into the game with a renewed vigour after conquering Turin so comprehensively. Javier Pastore looks to have found a good link-up partner in Josip Ilicic, whilst Mauricio Pinilla also provided better hold-up play than Abel Hernandez.

The trio that started against Juventus could be set to continue if fit for the season, showing an intelligence between them to anticipate each other’s movements, rather than react to them, as Hernandez’s experience sees him do.

Two solid displays against Serie A’s big boys will have done the defence the world of good too, with Ezequiel Munoz coming on leaps and bounds from the opening weeks’ nervy performances.

Delio Rossi all of a sudden has positive dilemmas to deal with as players start to find form. Armin Bacinovic has recently impressed and if fit could keep his place, forcing Rossi to pick between Giulio Migliaccio and Fabio Liverani for the other spot in midfield. Fabrizio Miccoli is set for a place on the bench again, but expect an appearance against the team of his heart.

Lecce have so far shown promise to their return to Serie A but have lacked a cutting edge at both ends of the pitch that has been to their undoing. Crucially however, the team have shown they are improving week on week, following the Cesena defeat with a positive reaction at home to Parma.

Up top the Giallorossi have shown the ability to cut through opposition defences but have lacked the final product. Luigi De Canio dropped Ruben Olivera and Javier Chevanton for the Parma game and could again go with Jeda and David Di Michele for this weekend after they did well in midweek in a 4-1-4-1 we are likely to see again in Sicily.

At the other end, they are guilty of standing off their opponents and switching off, with mistakes being made so as ball-watching and not tracking runs. In Javier Pastore and Co, they face a real test. Midfielder Gianni Munari is available again after suspension whilst Chevanton remains a doubt with slight troubles over his right knee. Defender Tore Reginiussen is the only guaranteed absentee.

Keep an eye on: Josip Ilicic (Palermo) – Signed with Armin Bacinovic after impressing against the Rosanero, both represent exciting talents, Ilicic the more attack-minded of the two. Scored against Inter and Juventus in past two games, which combined with an impressive skillset and towering presence, makes the 22-year-old unmissable.

Last five in Serie A: Palermo (D L L W - ) Lecce (L W L D - )

Last season: Not played

Top tip: Lecce’s best hope of getting a result lies in restricting the runs of full-backs Mattia Cassani and Federico Balzaretti, players who otherwise could hurt their defence.

Stat fact: Palermo have won all four meetings between the two sides at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Palermo (probable): Sirigu; Cassani, Munoz, Bovo, Balzaretti; Bacinovic, Liverani, Nocerino; Ilicic; Pastore, Pinilla

Lecce (probable): Rosati; Vives, Gustavo, Ferrario, Giuliatto; Giacomazzi; Di Michele, Piatti, Grossmuller, Munari; Jeda

Прогноз от Kappara.ru : южное дерби оно всегда горячее . И не ставьте на Палермо после победы над Юве . Тотал больше 2 1.47

Fiorentina-Parma 2-0

Stadio Artemio Franchi

A 17th placed Fiorentina are desperate for their first three points of the campaign against Parma.

Wednesday's 1-1 draw away to Genoa offered some respite from the unremitting misery that has characterised the Viola's season so far, although they could have suffered a heavy defeat at Marassi were it not for the vigilance of Sebastian Frey. Sinisa Mihajlovic's stated aim for this season was Champions League qualification, but defeats to Lecce and Lazio have left his side five points adrift of 4th place already, and only goal difference separates them from the relegation zone.

Whilst it is early days to pay too much credence to the standings, Mihajlovic will be concerned by the performances, particularly in an attacking sense. His Gigliati appears somewhat toothless and lacking in vitality in comparison to predecessor Cesare Prandelli's team. Stefan Jovetic is sorely missed, and Adrian Mutu's return from suspension at the end of October can't come soon enough.

Parma travel to Tuscany in good spirits after a solid if not spectacular start to the campaign. They sit 10th with five points to their credit, although the Gialloblu feel hard done by having fallen victim to refereeing errors in the away loss to Catania and the home draw with Genoa.

The Crociati picked up some impressive victories on their travels last term, at Juventus, Napoli, and funnily enough, Fiorentina. Nicola Amoruso, Valeri Bojinov and Davide Lanzafame were on the scoresheet when Francesco Guidolin's outfit stunned the Artemio Franchi with a 3-2 win last November. Guidolin has swapped places with Pasquale Marino and Amoruso and Lanzafame have both departed, but Parma's side remains largely the same, including that man Bojinov, who is always keen to impress against his old team Fiorentina.

Jovetic and Mutu are accompanied by Gaetano D'Agostino on the sidelines in Florence. The visitors absentees are Daniele Galloppa and Alberto Paloschi, both injured.

Keep an eye on: Alberto Gilardino (Fiorentina) - Having netted his first club goal since March against Genoa, we can expect a showdown with his old club to bring the best out of Gila. He scored both the Viola's goals in November's 3-2 defeat to Parma, with a brace of headers.

Form guide: Fiorentina (- D L L D) Parma (- W L D D)

Last season: Fiorentina 2-3 Parma

Top tip: Fiorentina's woes to continue with a Giovinco-inspired Parma win.

Stat fact: Gilardino scored 50 goals in 96 appearances for Parma between 2002 and 2005.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fiorentina (probable): Frey; De Silvestri, Kroldrup, Gamberini, Pasqual; Zanetti, Montolivo, Donadel; Cerci, Gilardino, Vargas

Parma (probable): Mirante; Zaccardo, Paci, Lucarelli, Gobbi; Dzemaili, Morrone, Valiani; Giovinco, Bojinov, Marques

Прогноз от Kappara.ru :  Фиорентине просто пора выиграть первый матч в сезоне . фора 1 (0) для осторожных 1.4

Chievo-Lazio  1-1

Stadio Bentegodi

It's an unlikely top six clash, but the outcome of Chievo's encounter with Lazio could decide which of these two teams is set to be this season's revelation.

Chievo got back to winning ways after losing to newly promoted Brescia at the weekend with a very impressive 3-1 victory away to Napoli.

Despite going behind after just nine minutes, Chievo gave their opponents a lesson in football and Sergio Pellissier was doing the teaching.

The 31-year-old talisman had a hand in all three of Chievo's goals, scoring twice and creating another against the side that has frequently tried to sign him.

Chievo nearly found a fourth, only to miss a gilt-edged chance, but it was enough to make Napoli fans whistle the home side, which is quite a compliment for the visitors.

Lazio will have to be careful when visiting the Bentegodi because Chievo have had no problem finding goals so far this season, hitting eight already.

However, Edy Reja's side are also full of confidence after coming back to draw 1-1 at home to Milan on Wednesday night.

The Biancocelesti looked a little timid for most of the game with Ronaldinho giving the 20-year-old Luis Cavanda a nightmare.

Lazio often had nine men behind the ball, and it was only when Reja threw caution to the wind, bringing on Tommaso Rocchi and Mauro Zarate, that they started to show the attacking potential that had been a hallmark of their performance against Fiorentina at the weekend.

All of a sudden, the Biancocelesti were creating problems for Milan with Hernanes and Mauri going close before Floccari's equaliser.

Reja must learn not to be so conservative if his side are to realise their potential, starting with Chievo this weekend.

Keep an eye on: Hernanes (Lazio) - Nicknamed The Prophet, Hernanes is certainly living up to expectation at Lazio, providing Sergio Floccari with a wonderful assist, which got his side a point at home to Milan.

Form guide: Chievo (W W L W -) Lazio (L W W D -)

Last season: Chievo 1-2 Lazio

Top tip: Sergio Floccari scored his 38th Serie A goal on Wednesday and famously had a hot streak when he first joined Lazio in January.

Stat fact: Chievo have developed a reputation for efficiency, playing Napoli off the park despite making 111 fewer passes

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chievo (probable): Sorrentino; Frey, Andreolli, Cesar, Mantovani; Fernandes, Rigoni, Marcolini; Bogliacino; Granoche, Pellissier

Lazio (probable): Muslera; Cavanda, Biava, Dias, Radu; Mauri, Brocchi, Ledesma, Foggia; Hernanes; Floccari

Cesena - Napoli 1-1

Stadio Manuzzi

Nearly 20 years after their last meeting in Serie A, both Cesena and Napoli are looking to bounce back from defeat in midweek.

Massimo Ficcadenti’s side went down 2-0 in Catania on Wednesday, marking their first loss of the campaign and also the first time they have conceded.

The newly promoted Seahorses are still sixth in the table and have already got points against Milan and Roma, so Napoli will not bring goose bumps.

However, Walter Mazzarri would do well to follow Catania’s lead and stop Cesena’s best players from getting the ball.

Ezequiel Schelotto, Yuto Nagatomo and Erjon Bogdani all saw very little action at the Massimino leading La Gazzetta dello Sport to claim that Catania had turned off Cesena’s lights.

Catania were ruthless when it came to inviting their opponents into their own half before launching punishing counter attacks, especially through Papu Gomez.

Napoli will be mindful of those tactics when they roll up at the Dino Manuzzi at the weekend, but first they’ll have to correct the mistakes they made against Chievo.

The Partenopei were comprehensively outplayed in their own backyard, losing 3-1 after taking the lead through Paolo Cannavaro.

Napoli’s three-man defence looked out of sorts, their midfield was wooden, while Lavezzi found himself bereft of service up front.

It remains to be seen whether Wednesday’s result was a consequence of playing three games in a week, but Napoli have to adjust if they are to push on in Serie A.

Keep an eye on: Emanuele Giaccherini (Cesena) – The pocket rocket has proven that size doesn’t matter giving pace and penetration to Cesena’s attack. The 25-year-old owes his career to the Seahorses who took a chance on him back in Italy’s third tier

Last five in Serie A: Cesena (D W D L -) Napoli (D D W L -)

Last season: Not played

Top tip: Edinson Cavani has already scored five goals in his first seven games for Napoli. Expect him to threaten.

Stat fact: These two sides haven’t met in Serie A since 1991.
------------------------------------------------------------------

Cesena (probable): Antonioli; Ceccarelli, Pellegrino, Von Bergen, Lauro; Appiah, Colucci, Parolo; Schelotto, Bogdani, Giaccherini

Napoli (probable): De Sanctis; Grava, Cannavaro, Aronica; Maggio, Yebda, Gargano, Dossena; Hamsik, Lavezzi; Cavani

Catania-Bologna 1-0

Stadio Massimino

The home side are enjoying themselves in the rarefied air of the Champions League places after a confident start to the season. Once unheralded new boys themselves, they took pleasure knocking upstarts Cesena back down to size in Week 4. Next up come a steadily resilient Bologna.

The Rossoblu earned their first win of the season by coming from behind to dash Udinese's hopes, and they also have a notable draw with Inter in their locker. However, they have not won on away soil since February and will need to end that run if they are to leapfrog the Elefantini in the standings.

However, in recent seasons Bologna have the better record against their Sicilian opponents. In 2008-09 they won both matches, while last term they drew at the Renato Dall'Ara after suffering a loss at the Massimino. Nicolas Spolli's 80th minute header won the fixture last term.

Catania, though, are on a phenomenal run at their home venue. Unbeaten in thirteen at home, that run includes a fair few scalps too. Since their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Livorno in December 2009 they have seen off Inter (3-1), Fiorentina (1-0), Sicilian rivals Palermo (2-0) and recorded a draw with Juventus (1-1).

There is an omen, though, that run began with their 1-0 victory over Bologna on January 6, 2010 - will it be fate that the end also ends in a fixture with the Felsinei?

Bologna have an injured list as long as your arm. Archimede Morleo, Rene Khrin, Andrea Pisanu, Antonio Busce, Daniele Paponi and Albin Ekdal are all unavailable for this clash.

Keep an eye on: Henry Gimenez (Bologna) - The Uruguayan started the Bologna comeback against Udinese with an 18th minute header. Becoming a regular this season, we can only expect to see more good things from the 24-year-old.

Form guide: Catania (- L W D W) Bologna (- D L D W)

Last season: Catania 1-0 Bologna

Top tip: After Catania upset Cesena's fantastic start what bet that Bologna knock their hosts out of shape straight after?

Stat fact: Bologna have lost five of their last nine away games in Serie A, drawing the other four.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Catania (probable): Andujar; Potenza, Silvestre, Spolli, Capuano; Izco, Carboni, Biagianti; Ricchiuti; Lopez, Mascara

Bologna (probable): Viviano; Esposito, Portanova, Moras, Rubin; Mudingayi; Meggiorini, Perez, Casarini, Gimenez; Di Vaio

Прогноз от Kappara.ru : стрёмный матч в котором может и обломаться фора 1 (0) , но если судить по футболу то хозяева просто обязаны побеждать . Не лезьте сюда

Bari - Brescia 3-1

Stadio San Nicola

The two minnows have made a habit of giant-killing and Brescia sweep into the San Nicola in second place.

Bari started the season on a high by beating Juventus, but were brought back down to earth by Sunday’s 4-0 collapse away to Inter. They had threatened an upset there too, Sergio Almiron hitting the woodwork after 40 seconds, but it was all downhill from there on in.

“Basically, we only played for a minute at San Siro,” admitted Giampiero Ventura. It was the Galletti’s first Serie A defeat in five months and their heaviest loss in seven months.

Brescia notched up their third consecutive victory in an extremely controversial clash with Roma. Even the FIGC confessed the referee had made serious mistakes in that 2-1 result, sending off Philippe Mexes and awarding a penalty when he seemed to get the ball. There were also numerous Giallorossi spot-kick appeals, but the Rondinelle survived and soared to second place behind Inter on nine points.

Bari can count on a solid home record, as they haven’t even conceded a goal here for 393 minutes of football. The injury list includes Salvatore Masiello, Jaime Romero and Nicola Belmonte, while Andrea Raggi and Alessandro Gazzi are hoping to make it back in time for this game.

Their last home outing was a dour 0-0 draw with Cagliari, but that was badly affected by the stifling midday heat that saw two Sardinian players forced off in agony.

Brescia have still not been able to give summer signing Jonathan Zebina his debut and he remains on the treatment table with Adam Vass and long-term absentee Victor Hugo Mareco.

Alessandro Diamanti is settling in nicely behind Eder and Andrea Caracciolo, while Finnish midfielder Perparim Hetemaj is boosted by scoring his first Serie A goal midweek.

Argentine striker Jose Antonio Ignacio signed a two-year contract following his trial at the club, but it remains to be seen if he’ll be given his Serie A bow.

Keep an eye on: Alessandro Diamanti (Brescia) – The former West Ham United starlet has already settled back into Serie A life and is eager to impress so he can work his way into the Italy squad. If his through balls or fierce shots can’t trouble Bari, then his free-kicks will.

Last five in Serie A: Bari (- W D D L) Brescia (- L W W W)

Last season: Not played

Top tip: With Brescia’s current run of form and the 4-0 hammering at San Siro, this could be the time Bari finally concede on home turf.

Stat fact: The last time these teams met in Serie A was the 2000-01 campaign, when Brescia won both home and away by 3-1 scorelines.
 -----------------------------------------------------------------

Bari (probable): Gillet; Pulzetti, A Masiello, Rossi, Parisi; Alvarez, Donati, Almiron, Ghezzal; Barreto, Kutuzov

Brescia (probable): Sereni; Berardi, Bega, Martinez, Dallamano; Hetemaj, Cordova, Baiocco; Diamanti; Eder, Caracciolo

Прогнозы от Kappara.ru : Бари дома играет всегда с азартом . Брешия не очень сильна в обороне поэтому Бари больше 1 1.4
