Hearts v Dundee Utd
Hearts are such an unpredictable side and they have been really struggling this season.
A lot of their problems have been self-inflicted, such as all the suspensions they are dealing with at the moment.
United are full of confidence at the moment but they too have made a habit of picking up red cards in recent weeks and they have not been looking so solid at the back.
Tynecastle is still a hard place to get a result and Hearts have a habit of raising their game against opponents in the top half of the league, so I can the points being shared.
Prediction: 1-1
Kilmarnock v Hibernian
I knew Kilmarnock would get something at St Johnstone last week. Every time Jim Jefferies and Billy Brown really need a result they seem to be able to dig one out.
However, their home form has slipped in recent seasons and the fans have a bad habit of getting on the team's back.
It's a nice, wide pitch at Rugby Park and that should suit Hibs, who have a good range of passing in their ranks.
Although they are enjoying a great run just now, they have not been too convincing on the road, and Killie will work hard to close down the visitors' creative players.
Prediction: 1-1
Motherwell v Celtic (1245)
Motherwell were brushed aside at Easter Road last weekend and have faded a bit after a very bright opening to the season.
Having said that, they have only lost two league games and that's a great achievement for such a young side.
Celtic have responded well to the pressure they were under and have enjoyed convincing wins in their last three games.
Tony Mowbray's side appear to have recovered from their earlier defensive jitters and they are starting to fire up front as well.
Motherwell will have a go and early kick offs can be a bit subdued but I fancy Celtic to edge it.
Prediction: 1-2
Rangers v St Johnstone
Rangers will be glad to get back and concentrate on defending their title after a disappointing run in the Champions League.
Kris Boyd was rested midweek and this is the kind of game he thrives in, where he is likely to get a bit more room in front of goal.
St Johnstone gave Rangers a real tough game in Perth and Collin Samuel was particularly dangerous up front in that one. I worked with him at Dundee United and he has great pace and strength.
I can see the visitors getting a goal because they adopt an open, positive approach but they will probably concede a few for exactly the same reason.
Prediction: 3-1
St Mirren v Falkirk
The Buddies have been a bit up and down this season but they will see this one as a great opportunity for three points.
They have lost six goals in their last two matches away from home and Gus MacPherson will want to shore up his normally well-organised defence.
Falkirk too have problems at the back; they just ship goals too easily. Rangers didn't have to work that hard against them last week.
The Bairns lack punch up front but I think what they need most is a bit of midfield steel. Pele could be the answer but he is going to need a few more games to get up to speed with the SPL.
Prediction: 2-1
