This is the final game of Eircom League Cup. When these two team play everything is possible. Mainly, all games are with very few goals and decisive goals ( if there any at all) are scored in last minutes of the matches, so I think today could happened something similar . These two teams have best possible form this season in Ireland , so this is strongest possible final at the moment .
Derry comes to match after excellent result in UEFA Cup against PSG 0:0 . It’s possible they will concentrate more on UEFA Cup , but still they chances are very low to advance in group stage , so I suppose they will have full concentration on this final game. Midfielder McGlynn ,whose father passed away suddenly at the weekend, will not play tonight and he will be replaced probably by Becket . |

Shels are table leaders and this season they look unstoppable so probably they are bit closer to the trophy. Shels comes to this match after league win against St.Pats 1:3 , by two late goals. For Shelbourne key midfielder Joseph Ndo is out and he will be replaced by Alan Moore who was “man of the deed “ in many big games. Skipper Heary is back after injury and probably will start , while their top scorer Byrne will start from the bench because he is not yet completely fit.
Shelbourne : Williams; Heary, Hawkins, Dillon, Rogers; Ryan, Moore, S Byrne, Cahill; Crowe, O’Neill.So, what I expect is one very closed match from both sides and I will not be surprised if penalties decide winner . Teams are with some problems and that’s why I think they will have more defensive tactics. As I said everything is possible tonight , but I will stick with under 2.5 because this is most possible option , who want more risk should try with under 1.5 or with Shelbourne ahc +0.25 .
