This whole season took a massive momentum swing in the space of 9 minutes either side of the second interval as Carolina scored 4 un-answered goals to take a 4-3 lead and then sealed the victory with the winning goal in the last minute of regulation. That was the Oilers opportunity to grab home court advantage and they failed. Now it's the turn of Carolina to dig the knife in and go for the kill.

Besides knocking out the Oilers starting goal tender for the remainder of the playoffs, the crows in Raleigh will be even more fired! up after the heriocs of Game 1.Team trend wise I note that the Oilers are 3-8 their last 11 games vs. teams from the East while the Hurricanes are 8-3 their last 11 against teams from the West. The Hurricanes are also a stellar 39-13 at home for the season. Carolina is 50-11 as a favourite, 13-1 off BB home wins and 13-1 this season at home after a home game in which both teams scored 3 or more goals.
