Чемпионат Шотландии от BBC

St Johnstone v Rangers (1230)

St Johnstone v Rangers

St Johnstone got their first league win at Hamilton last time and will take great confidence from that, since they certainly didn't deserve to be at the bottom of the league.

The Saints will create chances and I think they will score, but they have been guilty of leaving themselves open at the back.

Rangers go into the game buoyed by the Old Firm win, but they have a recent record of struggling in these early kick offs.

Having narrowed the gap on Celtic, they will be determined not to slip up again and I fancy them to score a few goals if they can avoid a sluggish start.

Prediction: 1-3

Aberdeen v Hearts

Aberdeen v Hearts

Aberdeen have not been playing well, but they have been steadily picking up points and a win here would propel them into a healthy league position.

Mark McGhee has got them organised, although they have yet to click in the final third, so I don't see too many goals in this one.

Hearts made a lot of chances in the first half against St Mirren and were punished for not taking them.

The Edinburgh side have a good record up at Pittodrie, but they have toiled on their travels this season and I think they will be edged out.

Prediction: 1-0

Celtic v Motherwell

Celtic v Motherwell

Celtic should have a few players back from injury after the disappointment of losing the Old Firm derby.

With the defence coming in for a lot of flack, I reckon there will be a strong emphasis on keeping a clean sheet and the league leaders should get the job done.

I'm not sure if Motherwell will be as adventurous as they have been so far this season.

Jim Gannon has already shown he's not afraid to tinker with his preferred system, but I can't see any surprises at Celtic Park.

Match preview

Prediction: 2-0

Dundee Utd v Hamilton Accies

Dundee United v Hamilton

Dundee United will be missing a number of key midfielder players, but it presents a chance for guys like Mark Fotheringham to show what they can do.

Craig Levein's side are usually strong at home, but I don't think this will be easy.

Hamilton really need a positive result after going down at home to St Johnstone and they will be rolling up their sleeves and digging in.

I can see the visitors grabbing a goal, but United should just have enough to bag the three points.

Match preview

Prediction: 2-1

Falkirk v St Mirren

Falkirk v St Mirren

Falkirk just don't score enough goals and the pressure is mounting with each week that passes without a win.

They have been keeping it tight at the back and Eddie May can build on that, but they really need to sharpen up in attack.

St Mirren turned in a strong second-half showing to beat Hearts and they played a blinder at Falkirk at the tail end of last season.

There was a bit of bad blood between the sides in that game and this could be a pretty tasty encounter.

Match preview

Prediction: 1-1

Hibernian v Kilmarnock

Hibernian v Kilmarnock

Hibs will be frustrated that they didn't kill off Dundee United when they were well on top last time.

The Easter Road side will always create chances with the attacking riches on offer to John Hughes and they must win games like this if they harbour serious intentions of pushing on for third place.

Kilmarnock were unlucky not to get all three points after a good display against Aberdeen and the return of Kevin Kyle will boost their attacking options.

The visitors will cause problems for a Hibs defence that can look uncertain at times, but I'm tipping a hard-earned home victory.
