Чемпионат Шотландии от BBC

Aberdeen v Motherwell

Aberdeen v Motherwell

Team news

This will be a big occasion for Mark McGhee, facing his old team. He will be so pleased that he got that confidence-boosting win at Hamilton last week because he wouldn't fancy playing against his old club looking for his first win.

But Hamilton aren't at their best, so perhaps we cannot read too much into that 3-0 win for the Dons.

Motherwell are flying at the moment. The young lads who have come into the team, like Ross Forbes, have given the team energy but they have enough experienced pros there to guide them.

I reckon the teams will share a load of goals.

Prediction: 2-2

Dundee United v Falkirk

Dundee United v Falkirk

Team news

Dundee United have had a decent start to the season, with last week's point against St Mirren respectable. They have Francisco Sandaza and Jon Daly still to come back so they have a decent squad.

Falkirk are doing well in stages of games, for example against Rangers and Hibernian, but are struggling to carry it through the 90 minutes and they are losing goals at set pieces.

If United play like they can, they will win this match, with Falkirk capable of nicking a goal.

Prediction: 3-1

Kilmarnock v St Mirren

Kilmarnock v St Mirren

Team news

Rugby Park is quite a hard place to go these days. Although Kilmarnock weren't good enough in their 3-1 defeat against Motherwell last Saturday, Jim Jefferies' side should have the edge over St Mirren.

Big Kevin Kyle is looking a threat up front and he will be in confident mood after his Scotland call-up.

St Mirren are hard to beat under Gus MacPherson so it will be a tight affair. I see them scoring a goal but leaving Ayrshire without a point.

Prediction: 2-1

Rangers v Hamilton

Rangers v Hamilton

Team news

It's been a good start to the season for Rangers, and last Sunday's turnaround against Hearts typified their character and spirit.

Gary Mason will be a useful signing for Hamilton manager Billy Reid. You just know he'll go into the Accies midfield and do a good, solid job.

They have struggled to gel all their new players and they need a good performance at Ibrox to regain their confidence.

A 1-0 defeat would do that, but I see Rangers putting a few more goals by them than that.

Prediction: 3-0

SUNDAY 30 AUGUST

Hibernian v Celtic

Hibernian v Celtic

Team news

This promises to be a marvellous match between two form teams. As we expected, Hibs are exciting to watch under John Hughes.

Already he is getting the best out of Riordan and, with Anthony Stokes signing up at Easter Road, this will be a really tough game for Celtic.

Although Hibs are looking good, I still think Celtic will sneak this by the odd goal. They are going for the jugular as soon as they get the ball. You can see Aiden McGeady is enjoying himself.

Prediction: 1-2

St Johnstone v Hearts

St Johnstone v Hearts

Team news

St Johnstone have made a promising return to the top flight, although I'm sure Derek McInnes would have preferred if they had kept things tighter at the back.

They have lost seven goals in their two league games so far, but if they keep finding the net like they did at Arbroath in midweek they will be fine.

Hearts certainly needed that home win over Dinamo Zagreb to get their season going. They lost on aggregate but their heads should be held high again.

I have been impressed by Gary Glen, who looks very sharp. Csaba Laszlo will find McDiarmid Park a difficult place to visit. This will be a draw.

Prediction: 1-1
