PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTIONS

Bolton v Aston Villa

Bolton v Aston Villa

Bolton are struggling for points but they should be OK in terms of avoiding relegation. They have got one more win in them but I don't think it will come here.

Villa have been inconsistent of late and their problem has been a lack of numbers. Centre-back Martin Laursen's absence has been a big blow and they've lacked that experience through the bad run when they needed it. I'm going for a draw but that will be a result neither team really wants.

Verdict: 1-1

Everton v Man City

Everton v Man City

Everton are going extremely well. They are in the FA Cup final and the draw against Chelsea emphasised that they are a tough team to beat. Defensively they are very good and have shown how far they have come under manager David Moyes.

City, as we know, are no good on the road. Craig Bellamy will be missing and they just don't have any presence up front. They have no-one to hold the ball in attack and that means it keeps coming back at them all too often.

Verdict: 2-0

Match preview

Fulham v Stoke

Fulham v Stoke

Fulham have improved considerably this year. They are a good side with a good manager in Roy Hodgson, who has made them well organised and disciplined.

Stoke's home form has got them through this season and they're only away win has come at West Brom. They've got 39 points but you can understand what manager Tony Pulis is saying in that they are not safe, it's important to keep going as the higher up you finish the more money you get.

Verdict: 2-1

Match preview

Hull v Liverpool

Hull v Liverpool

I see Hull boss Phil Brown had a go at me for saying his side would struggle to avoid to relegation but I said that at the start of the season as well. Their confidence is so low and there is no-one to win the game for them.

The title is Manchester United's to lose now. Liverpool are playing really well and not struggling to score. They have been in two 4-4 games but that is because of the situations they were in, having to chase the wins.

Verdict: 0-2

Match preview

West Brom v Sunderland

West Brom v Sunderland

This game will see Sunderland inch towards safety. Their front two of Kenwyne Jones and Djibril Cisse are a handful and their run-in is not as bad as other teams.

West Brom play good football but they are going to be relegated playing good football. Defensively they are awful.

Verdict: 2-2

Match preview

West Ham v Chelsea

West Ham v Chelsea

West Ham earned another excellent point with a draw against Aston Villa last week and they are down to the bare bones. They have had a super season under Gianfranco Zola.

There are so many links between the two clubs and it will be a big result for them not to be beaten by Chelsea. Guus Hiddink's side play Barcelona on Tuesday but I don't think he will put out a team of kids. It will be balanced and, as with any Chelsea team, hard to beat.

Verdict: 1-1

Match preview

Man Utd v Tottenham (1730 BST)

Man Utd v Tottenham

Tottenham are an unfinished work but much-improved under manager Harry Redknapp. They create chances but give teams the chance to score.

They will go to Old Trafford and try to play and because of that United will win. They can afford another slip up in the title race which, as I said earlier, is theirs to lose.

Verdict: 2-0

Match preview

SUNDAY

Arsenal v Middlesbrough (1330 BST)

Arsenal v Middlesbrough

Arsenal have got all of their big players back. They play outstanding football and against Liverpool their midfield made up for injuries to their defence.

Middlesbrough don't look like scoring. They gambled on signing striker Alfonso Alves and lost players to offset his wages but he has not scored goals. It will be touch and go whether they avoid relegation.

Verdict: 2-0

Match preview

Blackburn v Wigan (1600 BST)

Blackburn v Wigan

This is a tasty north-west derby and I expect plenty of tackling. Blackburn are having their hiccup at just the worst time. They need one more win to be safe and I think they will get it here.

Wigan's sale of Wilson Palacios and Emile Heskey, along with injuries, has seen them tail off. It's not that they are paying the price for selling the players as they have had a really good season.

Verdict: 2-0

Match preview

MONDAY

Newcastle v Portsmouth (2000 BST)

Newcastle v Portsmouth

Portsmouth have become very hard to beat under Paul Hart and Brian Kidd without looking like they will score. They will be safe from relegation.

Newcastle boss Alan Shearer has to decide whether to go with Mark Viduka and Obafemi Martins ahead of Michael Owen. It is a big decision as they will probably have to play 4-4-2 rather than 4-3-3. Martins looked fitter, stronger and sharper than Owen when he came on last week and Viduka can hold the ball up in attack. They will probably win but it will be nervy.

Verdict: 2-1
