Aberdeen v Gretna

If this game goes ahead, I think Aberdeen will have no real trouble collecting the points.

They have been up and down all season but they played really well in the Scottish Cup against Celtic.

The last-minute equaliser was a real kick in the teeth but the Dons will have taken confidence from their performance.

Gretna have been in turmoil for the last few weeks and, with the threat of closure hanging over them, I can't see the players being totally focused.

Prediction: 2-0

Hibernian v Kilmarnock

Hibs have been going great guns in the league since Mixu Paatelainen took over.

The manager has wasted no time stamping his authority on the team and the players have responded with an excellent run of results.

The Gretna situation will have eased any fears Kilmarnock had about relegation.

They ground out an important win over St Mirren last time but they might play with a bit more freedom now and I think it will be a tight match.

Prediction: 2-1

Inverness CT v Falkirk

Inverness are going through a real sticky patch and haven't won a game since they beat Gretna at the start of the year.

They are usually a tough side to break down but Hearts were comfortable winners up there and they have been leaking goals recently.

Falkirk have been struggling in front of goal recently, going three games without finding the net.

I think this could be a bit of a dour stalemate and I'm not expecting a classic.

Motherwell v Celtic

Motherwell are stuttering a bit at the moment, with two defeats and two draws in their last four outings.

The state of the pitch at Fir Park has not helped them and they have had to change their style and go a bit more direct.

Celtic's draw at home with Dundee United was a really poor result for them and the pressure is really on.

I don't think they can afford to lose any more points in the title race and that will spur them on to win what should be a very close game.

Prediction: 1-2

St Mirren v Hearts

St Mirren's objective at the start of the season was to stay up and they had achieved that before Gretna's current plight.

They might take a few more risks now but their recent form has been pretty good and they have been enjoying better results at home.

Hearts had a great result up at Inverness and that was the perfect response to a heavy home defeat from Rangers.

But that sums up the Edinburgh side perfectly. They have been inconsistent all season and you just don't know which side will show up.
