FA CUP

Middlesbrough v Cardiff (1400 GMT)

Middlesbrough v Cardiff

Middlesbrough have been live on the BBC three times in this season's FA Cup - once against Mansfield and twice against Sheffield United.

They also won 2-1 at Bristol City in the third round in January.

Each time they have eventually got across the line but they have not really ever been particularly convincing.

They have had a week off to prepare for the match against Cardiff - and with a place in the semi-finals at stake I cannot believe they will fall at this hurdle.

Cardiff boss Dave Jones, however, will believe that Boro are there for the taking.

He will tell his players to get into Boro early on. If they can keep it tight for the first 20 minutes or so then the groans might start in the stands.

Boro can be very inconsistent and this could be a tight game.

Bristol Rovers v West Brom (1800 GMT)

Bristol Rovers v West Brom

I'm probably going to opt for a draw here, which is probably not what West Brom want in terms of their priority of winning promotion to the Premier League.

Yet even though reaching the top flight is the number one aim for the Midlands club you are not telling me that they do not want to play in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

The chairman and the board of directors will also want the revenue generated from reaching the last four.

Southampton completely failed to come to terms with the pitch at the Memorial Stadium in the last round and this could be a problem for the Baggies.

You have to play percentage football on the surface and West Brom boss Tony Mowbray will have to make sure his players dig in and scrap for everything.

Verdict: 1-1

PREMIER LEAGUE

Sunderland v Everton

Sunderland v Everton

This is a big game for Everton given that Liverpool beat West Ham on Wednesday to move into fourth place. David Moyes' team have been very good of late but Sunderland have improved over the last month or so.

Roy Keane's team have been a lot stronger mentally.

Their home form has been decent and it is the reason why they will avoid relegation.

Verdict: 1-1

Tottenham v West Ham

Tottenham v West Ham

West Ham go into this game on the back off heavy defeats to Chelsea and Liverpool.

They should be pushing for a Uefa Cup place but their season is coming to a grinding halt.

This will be a tough fixture for the Hammers against a team who play attacking football.

Verdict: 2-1

Wigan v Arsenal

Wigan v Arsenal

I thought that Arsenal's performance at AC Milan on Tuesday was the best performance by an English team in the Champions League since Manchester United's victory over Juventus in Turin in 1999.

Milan are a team who rarely lose at home and have fantastic experience throughout the team - but Arsenal's performance was an object lesson in how to play football in 2008.

Wigan are big and strong and can be a handful but Arsenal's win over Milan was a result from which they can kick on for the rest of the season and I expect them to leave the JJB Stadium with three points.
