This betting system is cleverly devised so that you will only ever lose a bet if the match you bet on finishes 0-0, on average around 1 in 12 matches finish with no goals, but of course you choose the matches you bet on so you can decide which matches you predict there will be at least 1 goal in.

If you don’t know much about football, don’t worry, you don’t need to, to decide which matches you bet on you can check the football league tables on tele-text or on the net, the tables show you how many goals each team has scored and let in, and just stay clear of the teams will low numbers in both.

Just using this method will lower the chance of the matches you choose finishing 0-0 from 12-1 to at least 15-1 (14/15 winning bets)

Obviously the amount you win depends on the amount you bet.

I have used this system myself for the past 2 years, and my win rate has been 16 out of 17, my average win amount has been Ј48.76 per bet, and my average loss amount has been Ј240.00 per bet. So from an average of 17 bets I have won Ј780.16 (48.76 x 16) and I have lost 240.00 (240.00 x 1)

Ј780.16 - Ј240.00 = Ј540.16 or Ј31.77 per bet.

And of course you can double your stake amount and win twice as much, your minimum stake amount you can bet with is just Ј2 per match, so if you want to start off small and build it up, like I did, you can do.

All you need to use this system is internet access, and a betting account with betfair.com, for those of you that don’t know, betfair is an online betting exchange, which means instead of betting against a bookmaker you are betting against other people like you who also have an account with betfair.

For a bet to be placed on Betfair, there must be a ‘backer’ and a ‘layer’, the backer predicts what they bet on will win, and the layer predicts what they lay will lose.

At a traditional bookmakers such as William Hill or Ladbrokes you can obviously only back an outcome as the bookmakers always lay an outcome by taking peoples bets.

I’m sure a lot of you reading this will already know about lay betting but I appreciate not everyone will, if you are still unsure about anything to do with betfair I will always be happy to answer any questions you have.

The numbers on the left are the odds for backing the outcome, and the numbers on the right are the odds to lay the outcome.

If you are unfamiliar with this odds format, don’t worry its simple, when backing an outcome the odds tell you how much money you would be returned if you win, including your stake back, so if you for example backed ManU to win @ odds of 3.95 and you staked Ј1, and ManU won you would receive Ј3.95 so your win amount would be Ј2.95 per Ј1 stake.

When laying an outcome the odds tell you how much money you are liable to lose if the outcome you lay wins, so if you layed ManU @ odds of 4.00, and you layed Ј1, and ManU won you would lose Ј3.00 per Ј1 stake.

Ok so now we have got all that cleared up let me now explain the system.

On betfair the odds are changing all the time, although unlike horse racing with football betting the odds before kick-off will not change very much.

Well that is until after kick-off, you see on every live match you can bet ‘in running’, which means while the match is being played.

Being able to lay outcomes as well as back, and being able to bet ‘in running’ are both key factors to this system.

The main problems with this "strategy" is that many times, there are no layers for Draw, so you cannot close your position in profit (closing the position means Backing the Draw).

Also, 0-0 occurs in aproximately 1 of every 8 matches, not every 12 matches like the creator of the above claims.

Another problems are what happens in real betfair situations:

I will take 2 simple examples, my tries with this so called "system":

Slovenia - Scotland

3.5 3.6

I layed the Draw how the strategy suggested, $100 at 3.6, and i waited for the kick off. In the 5th minute, Scotland scores.

For the next 40 minutes, the odds for the draw were around 2.85,

and i was pretty scared that they might go down bigtime in the normal case that Slovenia equalizes.

So I finally closed the positions by backing the draw at 2.9, of course i had to put up $137 so all the position was covered. In the end, I lost $37 at my first attempt.

But things could have been worse. My second attempt was on Italy-Moldavia.

I layed the Draw In-Play, late in the second half when the score was still 0-0, at $100 at 2.96. After 15 minutes, Italy scores and everything looked fine. But immediately afterwards, in the 80 minute, Moldavia equalizes. Now the odds for the Draw were 1.60, and the out come was very possible since it was already 85 minute, i had to close again the position in loss: $327 at 1.60.. and so I lost another $227, because in the end, Italy scored in the 90th minute and the Draw didnt happen... so I won the $100 from laying the Draw and lost $327 from backing the Draw.

Needless to say, but 3 games from 10 games ended tonight in 0-0, those were big losing games.. i would have lots very big if I would have bet on them:

Rep Ireland - Switzerland 0-0

Netherlands - Macedonia 0-0

Slovakia - Russia 0-0
