mFortune is one of the first real poker sites that you can play from your mobile phone. As of June 2012, there are usually around 10 tables going at any time with stakes from 2¢-5¢ to $2-$4 and games in no limit, six max, eight max and heads up available.

The software is extremely easy to use and very intuitive. At this time it’s limited to cash games only - which makes sense because most people will pop in to play for 10-13 minutes to kill some time, not to grind for an entire day - although tournaments will be added soon.

The mobile phone online poker scene is a new one and mFortune definitely gets most of it right the first time, particularly with the interface and the game play. 

The biggest pro to mFortune, though, is the soft games. It’s a mobile site, where you can only play one table, so this keeps the hardcore grinders away. Everybody on the site is playing for fun for the limited amount of time they have to kill, so it creates great games with lots of limping and passive play.

There’s money to be made at this site for sure, but it’s going to be tough to get too much of it one table at a time.

There are a few downsides. Unfortunately the games are all very short stacked with the maximum buy-in on no limit games 20-40 big blinds and not the standard 100. Most people tend to buy-in even shorter than that, often buying in with only 10bb.

The software could also stand a few tweaks here and there. The Dealer button is sometimes tough to see at a glance as it’s displayed near the player’s online handle and not on the felt.

If you hit "find seat" and don’t choose the game, the software will just seat you at a game that’s less than full, regardless of stakes. So be careful if you use the find seat button and double check the stakes before you sit down and post your blinds.

For a mobile site, mFortune has a rock solid connection which is obviously important. You wouldn’t want to time out in the middle of an all-in hand and mFortune makes sure its end is rock solid.
